DIY’s for the Brave Ones
I love, and I mean LOVE, me a good DIY. It’s been a part of my design playbook for years. Heck, I even painted a vase from my very own Crate and Barrel line. Nothing is safe around here. And that’s how we like it. So for the brave ones that are ready to roll up their sleeves, let’s talk shop.
The Shelfie Guide
Stencil Wall Detail
I grabbed a stencil from one of our local craft stores, a flat brush, and a bucket of paint and got to work. The sky is really the limit with this technique. I say you should use it on your walls, your floor, even your ceiling! It even made for a one-of-a-kind patio for another project I did.
Mixing Metals in the Kitchen

Gone are the days of rules and being too "match-y" and perfect. I actually happen to LOVE navy and black together. So naturally I love mixing metals. A lot of you ask me specifically about kitchens and the best way to go about it and I say go for it! But below are some examples of mixing metals and some guidelines.
Layering rugs

Art I love + How I hang it
Art, next to lighting, is one of my favorite ways to decorate and finish off a house. The piece de resistance.
Bowls on Tables -- Trinkets in Bowls
I started to notice early on that I always seem to have “my thing” - common themes that keep appearing as the projects keep progressing. No matter what style the home is. And aside from the obvious #white paint, shelfies and wearing black ;) - I’ve noticed I have a love of bowls - and the different trinkets I put in them! So, this week get ready for #pretty #things in pretty bowls. The ideas keep coming!
