THE FARR PROJECT

THE FARR PROJECT

An easy and livable interior design project for my friend Amber in Venice, Ca with two of the dreamiest sofas ever. I love two matching sofas facing each other, especially when they are so casual and inviting.

Design Notes

Sometimes Interior Design is simple. It's white paint, a perfect chair that you love, some greenery and your favorite books. Voila! Your personal haven. The softness of white walls, warmth of a farm table and the industrial hit of a Tolix chair. All wrapped up with some Rock-N-Roll!!! The kitchen is a great example of the power of white paint!! We used Behr Ultra White here! This kitchen was looking very dated with this island shape in beige cabinets and brown marble counter... but a kitchen remodel is expensive and time consuming and intrusive. We knew we didn't want to bother with that as Amber was too busy running her incredible clothing brand, so we needed an easy and quick fix! We opted to keep the layout as is. Painted the cabinets, did new marble counters and switched out the pendants. No major construction! And now she has a nice fresh kitchen to enjoy! I love the cozy, cushy and rosy bed!! With colors playing off of the amazing textile art Andrea Shapiro.
