The Collins Project // Source Guide

DESIGN NOTES

What a fun project this was! The Collins family rescued this house from despair. It had been sitting vacant for a couple of years, mainly because no one knew what to do with it! In a time where it is faster, cheaper and easier to just build a new home, this kind of project is really a labor of LOVE. The Collins loved the home, saw that it could be SOMETHING, but didn’t know quite WHAT that could be. That’s were WE CAME IN.

I have a total affinity for mid century, and this one is extra special. We respected the history of the home, but respected the client’s needs more! We kept the stone, but added carpet. We kept the wood walls, but brightened them up with paint. We kept the layout, but modernized the kitchen…

Because when it comes down to it, no matter how beautiful it is, your home needs to be comfortable, livable and warm!

Love, Lee
