The Collins Project // Source Guide

DESIGN NOTES

What a fun project this was! The Collins family rescued this house from despair. It had been sitting vacant for a couple of years, mainly because no one knew what to do with it! In a time where it is faster, cheaper and easier to just build a new home, this kind of project is really a labor of LOVE. The Collins loved the home, saw that it could be SOMETHING, but didn’t know quite WHAT that could be. That’s were WE CAME IN.

I have a total affinity for mid century, and this one is extra special. We respected the history of the home, but respected the client’s needs more! We kept the stone, but added carpet. We kept the wood walls, but brightened them up with paint. We kept the layout, but modernized the kitchen…

Because when it comes down to it, no matter how beautiful it is, your home needs to be comfortable, livable and warm!

Love, Lee

I do love the manner in which you have framed this issue plus it really does offer me a lot of fodder for thought. However, coming from what I have seen, I simply just hope as other feedback stack on that individuals continue to be on issue and not embark on a soap box associated with the news of the day. All the same, thank you for this fantastic point and even though I do not go along with it in totality, I regard the perspective.

Good day! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could find a captcha plugin for my comment form? I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m having difficulty finding one? Thanks a lot!

An impressive share, I just given this onto a colleague who was doing a little analysis on this. And he in fact bought me breakfast because I found it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the treat! But yeah Thnkx for spending the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love reading more on this topic. If possible, as you become expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more details? It is highly helpful for me. Big thumb up for this blog post!
